2026 Admission Brochure for Self-financed International Master’s Degree Students at Inner Mongolia University of Finance and Economics

1. Introduction to the Program

The school of International Education at Inner Mongolia University of Finance and Economics offers following majors for the self-financed international master’s degree Students.

Majors Offered are as follows: Regional economics, Industrial economics, international trade, Enterprise Management, Tourism Management.

2. Type and Duration of the Program

(1) Program Type: Full-time.

(2) Duration: The standard duration is 3 years, with a maximum study period not exceeding 5 years.

(3) Language of Instruction: Chinese.

3. Qualifications for Application

(1) Both physically and mentally be in a good condition, consciously abide by Chinese laws and regulations, and have no criminal record

(2) Basically aged 22-35

(3) Foreign nationals with a university graduate diploma (or a certificate qual to that), or higher education

(4) Meet the corresponding Chinese language proficiency requirement: Valid certificate of HSK Level 4 with a score of 180 or above.

(1) A completed “International Students Admission Application Form of Inner Mongolia University of Finance and Economics（please download the application form from the following website https://www.imufe.edu.cn/gjhzjlc/lxcd/gjxszsgz/zsxx/cyxz.htm）；

(2) Please download the form from the following website https://www.imufe.edu.cn/gjhzjlc/lxcd/gjxszsgz/zsxx/cyxz.htm and do the examination. The valid period of the Physical Examination Record is six months）；A color scan of the “Physical Examination Record for Foreigners” will be needed for the application

5.Application Materials

(1) "Inner Mongolia University of Finance and Economics International Student Admission Application Form”(in Chinese/English).

(2) A color scan of passport’s main page (if the applicant is currently in China, all relevant visa pages must also be scanned)

(3) A digital photo size(3×4cm).

(4) A color scan of the highest degree certificate and academic transcript (in Chinese/English) will be needed. Graduating applicants need to provide a pre-graduation certificate issued by their current high school (the official graduation certificate must be obtained before enrollment). A notarized version in Chinese or English must be attached.

(5) Valid certificate of HSK Level 4 with a score of 180 or above.

(7) An official criminal record certificate or certificate of no disciplinary violations during school.

(8) A study plan of a total of 500 words; two recommendation letters of your high school teachers (including signatures and contacting numbers).

6. Admission Procedure

(1) After the application deadline, our university will organize expert panels to review the application materials professionally. Remote video interviews or face-to-face interviews will be required.

(2) The electronic copy of admission documents will be send by email to applicants who passed the interview and got the final approval from the educational apartment of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

(3) Admitted students should take the "Admission Notice" and the "Visa Application form Study in China" (JW202 Form) to apply for an X1 visa at the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in their home country. All relevant procedures should be completed with a noticed time limit, The university does not accept students with non-study category visas.

(4) Students should come to the university on time for registration, the time and place was noted on "Admission Notice".

(5) The original versions of final education certificate, certificate of language proficiency, and other documents will be verified on school beginning day. Otherwise, the admission eligibility will be canceled.

7. Scholarship

During college years academic Scholarship for Excellent Students will be awarded according to the academic transcript/records and appearance at class and other school activities.

‌First degree： 12000 RMB for one school year；Accepting rate of this degree is 10%.

‌Second degree‌：8000 RMB for one school year; Accepting rate of this degree is 20%.

‌Third degree‌： 6000 RMB for one school year; Accepting rate of this degree is 30%.

NOTE: This scholarship system implements an annual review. The scholarship for the first academic year will be determined based on the application materials submitted and the interview performance. Applicants must submit the relevant materials according to the requirements of this brochure, and the university will finalize the recipients.

Starting from the second academic year, the university will re-evaluate the scholarships for all self-financed international students based on their academic performance and overall conduct from the previous academic year.

8. Related costs

First, the following fees need to be paid after enrollment registration and are non-refundable.

(1) Tuition: 18000RMB/ one school year

(2) Accommodation fee: 4000 RMB/ one school year.

(3) Other fees: Textbook fees, Residence permit fees, etc. should be paid by oneself according to the actual amount.
